exceeding 105 degrees possible.
* WHERE...In New York, Broome, Chemung, Onondaga, Schuyler,
Sullivan, Tioga, and Tompkins Counties. In Pennsylvania, Bradford,
Lackawanna, Luzerne, Northern Wayne, Pike, Southern Wayne,
Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Wednesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest temperatures and heat indices are
likely to occur in the valley locations. There will be little
overnight relief with lows only dropping into the 70s in many
locations. Additional surrounding locations may need heat
headlines if confidence continues to grow.
