Impact Windows Company, Mister Window Teaches The Science and Safety of Hurricane Season During the Great American Teach-In

The Territory Sales Manager for Mister Window, Hunter Krug, connected with students at Thonotosassa Elementary on the awareness and understanding of the major storms, along with how to properly prepare for the hurricane season. Students participated, throughout the day, in exercises made to showcase the inner workings of hurricanes, their risk level, the routes they travel, and ways to remain safe during a storm.

"Hunter had a fun and informative presentation that aligned with our unit of study," said Jordan Webber, Kindergarten teacher at Thonotosassa Elementary. "The students were excited and engaged learning about hurricane safety."

In March of 2019, Hunter joined Mister Window and along with him, he brought a passion for serving the community and teaching others. During this year’s Great American Teach-In event, he presented to 12 different class groups and over 250 students.

"I remember how much of a positive impact the Great American Teach-In had on me when I was that age," said Hunter. "I couldn't turn down the opportunity to share my experience with these kids."

Mister Window has built a reputation as one of the highest-rated window and door companies in the Sarasota and Bradenton area. Alongside their passion for delivering grade A customer service is their ultimate goal to protect as many homes as possible, from the upcoming hurricane season - even with the Coronavirus pandemic still lingering. Mister Window has strict steps and procedures they follow to protect everyone involved in all new window installations. So, even when the world is running a bit non-traditionally, they are still able to deliver to homeowners some of the market’s superior quality hurricane windows and doors on the market.

Despite the crazy times we are currently facing as a nation and across the world, Mister Window doesn’t want Florida homeowners to forget that hurricane season is peeking its head just around the corner. If you are planning on purchasing impact-resistant windows for your home, the time is now. From ordering the windows to having them installed in your home can take weeks. The last thing a homeowner needs is to look up and realize storm season crept upon them, without taking the steps to assure proper home protection for their home.

Since hurricane Irma and the tragic effects that came along with her, wait times for new impact windows orders have increased from 8-10 weeks to 8-14 weeks. That is adding an entire month to the possible time frame for new window orders to be received. This is why Mister Window continues to remind homeowners of the increase in the time it takes to get new window orders in. The window company says they want homeowners to prepare now. An entire month unprotected is entirely too long to risk.

The Great American Teach-In, coordinated by the Department of Public Relations, is a yearly event, celebrating American Education Week. Schools invite community members to speak to students about, hobbies and travel, careers and how their current lives relate to early educational experiences.

"At Mister Window, we sell and install products that enrich people's lives… products that protect families and their homes every day," Said Michael Cvetetic, President & CEO of Mister Window. "We encourage our employees to give back to the communities we call home."
