Deer Run Dentistry is Proud to be Open with COVID 19 Precautions
The COVID-19 health crisis has changed many things, but one thing it hasn't altered is the importance of dental care. While taking precautions recommended by the State of Colorado and health agencies that ensure the safety of their patients and team members, Deer Run Dentistry is once again operating at 100% capacity.
As the world navigates the changes brought by COVID-19, Dr. Devin Rentz and Dr. Hayley Quartuccio continue to take pride in providing high-quality dental care to the good people of Greenwood Village and the surrounding areas.
Although dental offices are required to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sterilization at all times, the team at Deer Run Dentistry has adjusted their procedures to provide each patient and employee with full peace of mind.
Social Distancing Helps Keep Everyone Healthy
Deer Run Dentistry is maintaining social distancing in a variety of ways. Instead of utilizing their waiting room, they ask that patients wait in their vehicles after virtually checking in.
A team member will come outside and personally escort the patient to their appointment after providing a quick temperature check. Patients with temperatures over 100.4 will need to reschedule their appointment.
According to the law, dental practitioners must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during procedures. However, Deer Run Dentistry requires all team members to wear a gown, an N95 mask, and a face shield in addition to their regular PPE at all times to help minimize any risk of contamination.
A Clean Environment Reduces the Spread of Disease
Similarly, sterilizing rooms and instruments between patients has always been required for dental offices. Deer Run Dentistry is now also requesting that patients sanitize their hands with provided hand sanitizer upon entering the building, and again in the examination room immediately before their procedure.
Deer Run Dentistry has always strictly followed the cleaning sterilization requirements put forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), American Dental Association (ADA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). To ensure an optimal level of safety for patients, they have increased the frequency of cleaning and sterilization of high-touch areas like countertops, doorknobs, and chairs.
Get Quality Care in a Safe Environment
To help reduce exposure for patients and team members alike, Deer Run Dentistry pre-screens patients for COVID-19 symptoms prior to their appointment with a quick questionnaire.
Patients exhibiting any symptoms will need to reschedule their appointment. If the procedure is an emergency, they ask that patients contact them directly to discuss options. Team members are also requested to stay home if they are experiencing symptoms.
To date, no team member or patient of Deer Run Dentistry has contracted COVID-19. Were that to change, Deer Run Dentistry would immediately notify authorities and follow the procedures put forth by health agencies in the State of Colorado.
When choosing Deer Run Dentistry, patients can rest assured that they are receiving high-quality care in a sterile, safe environment. To schedule an appointment in Greenwood Village, CO, call (720) 419-0351 today.
