Behavioral Family Solutions Announces New COVID-19 Protocols for Reopening

In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, Behavioral Family Solutions has implemented new protocols in alignment with the CDC to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their clients and their families. The Board-Certified agency offers ABA therapy and serves children and their families throughout the tri-county area: Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.

Behavioral Family Solutions Reopening

Each parent will be provided with a consent form that must be signed before their child can begin sessions at the center. These consent forms will inform parents of safety procedures and new protocols Behavioral Family Solutions has put in place.

Behavioral Family Solutions has implemented the following:

Room Assignments

  • One client per room
  • One RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) with client
  • Maximum 3 people per room when analyst present for supervision

Pickup Protocol

  • Clients will be picked up in front of the building in the roundabout area. Parents will not be allowed to enter the waiting room area to minimize traffic within the office.

Cleaning Checklist and Procedures

  • RBTS/Analysts are responsible for filling out the session checklist before, during, and after each session.
  • Each checklist will be signed by RBT/Analyst as well as the office receptionist.

 Storing and Cleaning Masks

  • Each RBT/Analyst will be provided with a face shield that will be labeled with the provider’s name. This face shield will be cleaned and stored daily within the storage areas designated.
  • Facemasks will be provided to RBT/Analyst daily/as needed.

Bathroom Protocol

  • If the bathrooms are crowded, use upstairs bathrooms or wait outside the door until less than 3 people are present.

Lunch/Snack Protocol

  • Clients must bring their own snacks from home. Snacks will not be provided by Behavioral Family Solutions or RBTs/Analysts.

Dropoff Protocol

  • Clients will be picked up in front of the building in the roundabout area. Parents will not be allowed to enter the waiting room area to minimize traffic within the office.

Material Disinfectant

  • All session materials must be cleaned and disinfected after each session using cleaning wipes provided.

As Behavioral Family Solutions continues to monitor the evolving situation around COVID-19, their priority is the safety and health of their clients and their loved ones, whom they encourage to visit the CDC’s information page regularly to stay informed.
