Richmond, Virginia Immigration Law Firm Announces Date for H-1B Cap Season

(RICHMOND, Virginia) Immigration Attorney Nash Joseph Fayad, Founder and President of Fayad Law, P.C., announces an important upcoming deadline for the 2023 H-1B cap initial registration period. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced on January 28, 2022, that the initial registration period for the fiscal year 2023 H-1B cap would begin at noon Eastern on March 1 and end at noon Eastern 18, 2022. Prospective petitioners (also known as registrants) and their authorized representatives who want to hire H-1B workers subject to the cap will be able to complete and submit their registrations using USCIS's online H-1B registration system during this time. The fiscal year 2023 begins on October 1, 2022.

The registration process requires only basic information about the prospective petitioner and each requested worker. BASED ON PROPERLY SUBMITTED ELECTRONIC REGISTRATIONS, the H-1B selection process will then be carried out. Only those with selected registrations will file cap-subject H-1B petitions. Selections will occur after the close of the initial registration period (March 1 to March 18, 2022). USCIS intends to notify account holders by March 31, 2022.

Since USCIS approves a limited number of petitions each year during the H-1B cap season, and there are many steps in the H-1B specialty occupation visa process, it is essential to seek the assistance of an experienced immigration law firm's assistance as Fayad Law, P.C.

Fayad was awarded a scholarship to the prestigious Russian People's Friendship University in Moscow, Russia, earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Laws degree with honors in 1992. He studied at the Russian Academy of Sciences' Institute of States and Law from 1992 to 1998.
